wooo! so much fun tonight! I can hardly stand it!

Today I had jampot cookies, helped save a boat from sinking, drank a lot and ended up on my hands and knees in the middle of the road (someone thought that it would be ok for someone who is over 6 feet tall to try and jump on someone's back who is 5'3". Yup, v. exciting. More later!

I just had the best dinner! It was one of those bag caesar salads and I added chicken I made on the george foreman battered with bread crumbs, parmesan cheese and garlic powder. I also added pieces of a homegrown tomato someone gave me at work. YUM! Everything was really good.

Today I inspected my first job. It was a little scary, but I made it. It's a tiny storm sewer job. They screwed up the inverts on one manhole but the water will still run downhill, so I'm not worried. They should finish tomorrow (told you it was tiny). They start at 7 and didn't finish till 6 or so tonight (plus my hour drive back). Long day.

I also learned that my new calculator I got for the FE (so it's 2 years old) has some fancy font-- no spelling funny words any more (I tried today). I tried hell (1134) and boobs (58008). That's a sentence you don't hear often...

So now I'm playing along on Jeopardy. Fun stuff. I knew some things they didn't! Sweet!

OK, time to veg out and get to bed early (yeah right).

Oh sheesh, I finally did it. I got a livejournal account. I don't intend to write much, but it should come in handy to read other people's blogs. mwhahaha!

Yesterday I went down to Ann Arbor with Katie to meet my folks and my Grandma and Uncle and watch my youngest brother's water polo tournament. It was good. The team looks great. They came out in 5th place, but only lost one game. Just the way the bracket turned out. They played really well and I was impressed with this years' coaching staff (in more ways than one, ow ow). We went out to a nice dinner and then parted ways-- the fam back to GR, my Grandma and Uncle to Ypsi and Katie and I to IKEA in Canton.

It used to be that I'd make the pilgrimage to Chicago for Ikea and spend a lot of money, but it was planned and I was ok with it. This was a lets stop quick and spend a TON of money. Oh well. I got a new lamp shade, a big bolster pillow for my chaise lounge, cereal bowls and a new duvet cover. The duvet cover is very pretty-- dark purple with some embroidery and stuff. Very classy. It might be dangerous to live so close. Dang.

Well, plans for today include vegging out, doing nothing, maybe reading, maybe watching tv, maybe fixing the hat I crocheted that makes my head look a little phallic right now, and maybe making my bed with my new stuff.
